We must be vigilant in ensuring safe, fair and free elections. At the same time, we must be equally vigilant in protecting against the abuses of power by our government, particularly our intelligence and law enforcement agencies that have and do commit serious violations of constitutional and civil liberties through mass surveillance, spying and date collection on the American people.
