We also need intelligence agencies and "national security experts" to stop manipulating media and social media and interfering in American elections. They have done that for decades in the elections of other countries as part of their foreign policy agenda. Whether that was wise or not we absolutely need them out of domestic elections. Which makes this pledge suspect, because of its origins.
