"Our elections are under attack. Over the past several years, we have seen attempts to cast doubts on the voting process and even overturn the outcome of a free and fair election. When I joined the Army at 17, I swore an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. I did not fight to defend our freedoms overseas just to have them stripped away here at home. As a candidate, and as a member of Congress, I will fight to protect our democracy and ensure that everyone has the ability to participate in free and fair elections - it is the bedrock of our democracy, and is what makes this country great."
